Memorial Day: We Appreciate Those Who Have Served

Mike Barasch here. It’s not just a 3 day weekend. It’s a time to honor those who have served our great country, especially those who made the ultimate sacrifice. We remember those who have served abroad (like my own father who was a proud Private in Europe during WWII), and of course, we honor those who have served at home during those wars, including those who served and volunteered at the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.

Today in particular, we acknowledge our firefighters, police officers, and all the other responders who continue to suffer illnesses. And, we remember those who have died as a result of their exposure to WTC toxins.

Wishing you all a meaningful Memorial Day.
