14 years later, another memorial: Marking the anniversary of the end of post-9/11 Ground Zero cleanup and recovery efforts
Mike Barasch commented on an op-Ed piece that appeared in the NY Daily News regarding the 14th anniversary of the end of post-9/11 Ground Zero cleanup and recovery efforts.
Michael Barasch, Richard Dodd’s attorney, stated:
“I was touched by Richard Dodd’s piece, reminding us of the horrible and dangerous conditions that first responders and construction workers worked in for 9 months at Ground Zero. It shines a light on the fact that hundreds of thousands of local downtown residents and office workers were exposed to the same toxic dust. It is no wonder that thousands have already been diagnosed with one or more of the 68 cancers linked to the toxic dust. Thank goodness that the government did the right thing by extending health care and compensation to those who are sick.”
