Barasch & McGarry Shares 9/11 Community’s Outrage about Plea Deal with Terrorist Mastermind
We have learned that the mastermind of the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon on 9/11, as well as two of his accomplices, has reached an agreement to plead guilty and avoid the death penalty.
On behalf of the entire 9/11 community, we are outraged that these heartless terrorists have been allowed to avoid justice.
On September 11, we lost over 3,000 lives to an attack of unprecedented evil. Thousands of innocent people would never come home to their families again.
9/11 didn’t end on 9/11.
In the years since then, tens of thousands of 9/11 responders and survivors have developed cancer or severe respiratory illness from their exposure to toxins at Ground Zero, the Pentagon, and the Flight 93 crash site.
Over 6,000 of them have tragically passed away.
The families of 9/11 victims have waited nearly 23 years for their day in court, to finally confront the terrorists responsible for their attacks.
This plea deal denies 9/11 families of that long-awaited opportunity. It denies them the justice they deserve.
We strongly disagree with the court’s decision to allow these terrorists to avoid the death penalty.
