9/11 Injuries • Victim Compensation Fund • WTC Health Program
Michael Barasch Comments on “Veteran officers battling 9/11-related illnesses from cancer to PTSD” Article
Sixteen years after the 9/11 terror attacks on our country, the death toll continues to rise. There is no longer any question that exposure to 9/11 toxins created a health crisis among first responders, as well as among residents, students and workers who were exposed. But those who are suffering from 9/11-related illnesses have not been forgotten or forsaken. The Victim Compensation Fund and the WTC Health Program provide compensation and health care to those who are suffering now. If you or someone you know is suffering from a 9/11 illness, or has lost a loved one due to a 9/11 illness, make sure that they know that they are not alone, and that help is available. We cannot undo what has happened, but we can all do our part to spread the word so that those in need of help are able to get it.
